Hastings Rowing Club opens its doors to a new generation of coastal rowers

Founded in 1868 and located on the seafront adjacent to Hastings Pier, the club is actively seeking to attract new members and introduce more individuals to the sport of rowing.

The Open Day will be held in two sessions: on September 27 from 10am to 2pm and on September 28 from 4pm to 7pm, at the club's boathouse on Carlisle Parade.

This event is specifically designed for complete beginners and individuals with minimal or no rowing experience. The club extends a warm welcome to both adults and young people aged 13 and above.

Attendees will have the opportunity to meet club members, explore the boats and facilities, gain insight into coastal rowing, and learn more about participating in the sport.

Following the Open Day, Hastings Rowing Club plans to launch a new Learn to Row programme, with limited enrollment available. This program will introduce novice rowers to the sport's fundamentals…
