🏆 Eastbourne Regatta 2025 – Medals, Memories & a Bit of Underwater Adventure! 🏆

What an incredible start to our double-regatta weekend! Eastbourne Rowing Club hosted a brilliant day on the water – starting with a light breeze and ending with proper coastal rowing conditions that truly tested our crews.

Our rowers delivered race after race, bringing home an impressive haul of medals:

🥇 Women’s Junior Scull – Cammy Korkis (moving another point closer to the championship!) 🥇 Open Junior Pair – John Webb & Roland Rebek (securing their championship title with their fourth win of the season!) 🥇 Open Masters 50+ – Tim Ash, Mark King, Dave Pattle, Paul Knight (Cox: Hannah Dixon) – an outstanding team effort with a powerful finish. 🥇 Open Junior Scull – Roland Rebek – his first win of the season, and well-deserved! 🥈 Open Masters 40+ – Tim Ash, Mark King, Dave Pattle, Paul Knight (Cox: Hannah Dixon) 🥉 Open Junior Scull – Tom Heskett – a strong row, just shy of silver but climbing the leaderboard fast.

Our women’s crews put in amazing performances as well:

🚣‍♀️ Women’s Junior Pair – Cammy Korkis & Kim Webb 🚣‍♀️ Women’s Novice 4 – Victoria Clarke, Kim Webb, Charlotte Ashcroft, Claire Lucent (Cox: Vicky Kidd) – 5th place 🚣‍♀️ Women’s Novice 4 – Margaux Forner, Morgan Rooney (Cox: Alan Carter) – 6th place 🚣‍♀️ Women’s Junior 4 – Victoria Clarke, Kim Webb, Charlotte Ashcroft, Claire Lucent (Cox: Alan Carter) – 8th place and loving the extra time on the water.

And of course – the moment we won’t forget anytime soon – the Open Junior Fours “submarine adventure” with Thomas Heskett, John Webb, Jack Relf, and Roland Rebek (Cox: Paul Heskett). They proved that sometimes sinking just adds to the memories!
