🚣‍♂️🌊 Hastings Rowing Club at Dover Regatta – Season Finale Success! 🌊🚣‍♀️

On Saturday 16 August 2025, Hastings Rowing Club travelled to Dover Rowing Club for the final coastal regatta of the season. For most of us it was our first time racing on Dover’s sheltered stretch of water — and what a stunning venue it proved to be! 🙌

Huge thanks to Dover Rowing Club for hosting such a brilliant event, and to all the coastal clubs who joined to make the day so special. ❤️💛❤️

Despite a breezy day, the water served up classic coastal waves — and our crews rose to the challenge with fantastic results:

• 🥇 Open Junior Pair – John Webb & Roland Rebek ⚡️ Secured their 5th win of the season. 🏆

• 🥈 Women’s Junior Scull – Cammy Korkis 🚀 Closing in on the championship with another strong silver!

• 🥈 Open Masters 50+ Four – Tim Ash, Alan Bates, Dave Pattle & Paul Knight (Cox: Hannah Dixon) 💪 A powerful row to second place!

• 🥈 Open Masters 40+ Four – Tim Ash, Mark King, Dave Pattle & Paul Knight (Cox: Hannah Dixon) 🔥 Another silver for this determined crew!

• 🥈 Open Junior Scull – Tom Heskett 🌟 Storming up the leaderboard with an impressive performance!

• 🥉 Open Junior Four – Thomas Heskett, John Webb, Danny Basenet & Roland Rebek (Cox: Holly Cavill) 👏 Fighting hard for a well-earned bronze!

• 🥉 Open Mixed Four – Vicky Kidd, Dave Pattle, John Webb & Kim Webb (Cox: Paul Knight) 🥉 Another podium for the team!

• 6️⃣ Open Mixed Four – Alan Bates, Cammy Korkis, Mark King & Morgan Rooney (Cox: Richard Vidler) 💥 Battling the waves for sixth place.

• 7️⃣ Open Junior Scull – Roland Rebek showing grit and determination in a strong field.

• 7️⃣ Women’s Novice Four – Victoria Clarke, Kim Webb, Charlotte Ashcroft & Claire Lucent (Cox: Vicky Kidd) 💜 Great teamwork and a fantastic effort from our novices!

Although Hastings Rowing Club won’t be competing in the championship race in Plymouth on 6 September, we’ll be cheering on everyone else taking part! 🎉 Good luck to all crews heading down there — we’ll see you on the water again soon. 🌊💪
